Description
 
Improving upon its award winning predecessors, this 3rd generation High Performance All Season Tire incorporates the latest in technology and design from Falken to create an exciting new tire.

DYNAMIC RANGE TECHNOLOGY (DRT)
Incorporates a Falken exclusive silica tread compound that greatly enhances the operating temperature range of the ZIEX ZE950 A/S. This allows the rubber to remain pliable at low temperatures increasing grip in wet, snow and icy conditions. During warm, dry conditions the tread compound's molecular bonds become stronger allowing for crisp handling and longer wear.

FALKEN EXCLUSIVE "CANYON SIPE" TECHNOLOGY
Increased edges for ice braking interlocks under load for better handling and improved wear.

WIDE CIRCUMFERENTIAL GROOVES
Effectively evacuate water and significantly enhance hydroplaning resistance for outstanding wet handling.

WIDE ANGLED TREAD SLOT
Provides additional snow grip by allowing snow to be packed into the center of the tire.

SCULPTURED GROOVE WALL
Provides better snow grip and eliminates rain groove wander.

All these features allow the ZIEX ZE950 A/S to offer 18% better tread life and 10% better winter traction compared to its predecessor, the ZIEX ZE912.

    I have an AWD car and opinions of the tire may change. For my car on the dry and wet pavement the tires are great. When roads are wet they are great at resisting hydroplaning, even on long wide cloverleaf on/off ramps at much spirited speeds. I find that with the current car setup compared to previous tires which I have had, sharper corners and roundabouts (or traffic circles) are more of an issue, when wet or in snow.     Ohtsu FP7000 205/65R15 94H BLK these are excellent tires for the price I don't drive everyday but I have been driving over 30 years and live in the northeast with challenging weather conditions and I can comfortably say these are good tires

    Bought these to replace Michelins that wore out too soon. The ZE950 has very decent to great snow traction for an all-season and is very quiet. Its not a cushy tire , offers a firm ride and handles very well. Predictable in cornering in snow and just a little ice so far with reasonable speed.
